Kathleen Higgins of the University of Maine at Presque Isle has earned Sunrise Conference Player of the Week honors in softball. 
 
 

Kathleen is honored this week after leading the Owls to a 4-2 week. 

The freshman from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, batted .409with a home run, seven RBIs, six runs, and four stolen bases. 

Kathleen went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in an 11-1 win over Vermont Tech.  She also went 3-for-4 in two other games with the Green Knights and also was part of a triple play. 

She caught a line drive, tagged a runner out at second base and threw another one out at first base.

Kathleen is third in the conference in RBIs with 12 and is sixth in batting with a .279 average.
