Desiree Smith of the University of Maine at Presque Isle has been named the Sunrise Conference Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer.

Smith wins the award after a solid trip to Northern New York. 

The sophomore forward from Thomaston, Maine registered eight points in a pair of wins for the Owls. 

Smith had one goal and one assist in a 4-0 shutout of Paul Smith's College and then scored two goals with one assist in a 3-0 win over SUNY Canton.
