Julie Peers of the University of Maine at Presque Isle has been named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball.

Julie is honored for the first time this season after leading the Owls to two conference wins. 

The junior forward from Caswell, Maine averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.0 assists while shooting a tremendous 73 percent (11-for-15) from the floor. 

She went 8-for-8 from the field and scored 17 points with eight rebounds in a 78-39 win over the College of St. Joseph.
