Steven Edwards of Paul Smith's College has been named the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week in men's basketball.

Edwards adds a Rookie of the Week award to his Player of the Week award he won earlier this season after averaging 24.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals in two games this week. 

The freshman guard from Queens, N.Y. started the week with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals against SUNY Canton.  He then had 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists against Fisher College. 

Steven buried seven 3-pointers and shot 80 percent from the free throw line and he leads the conference in scoring and is seventh in the nation averaging 22.8 points per game.
