Talisha Herring of the University of Maine at Fort Kent has been named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball.
Talisha earns the award for the first time this year after helping the Bengals stay unbeaten in the conference with two more wins averaging 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals.
The senior guard from Junction City, Kansas poured in 29 points and collected 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 72-60 win over the University of Maine at Machias. She also had 11 points, six boards and two steals in a 64-48 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Talisha hit 50 percent of her shots from the field and 81 percent of her free throws in both games.
