
Sabree Rodriguez of the University of Maine at Machias has been named the Sunrise Conference and NAIA Division II National Player of the Week in women's basketball.
Sabree receives the dual honor after leading the Clippers to three wins averaging 28.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.3 steals.
The freshman forward from Brocton, Mass. surpassed the 30-point mark twice with 34 points and eight rebounds in a win over the University of Maine at Augusta and she had 32 points and 10 boards in a win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
She also had 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a win over the College of St. Joseph.
In the three games Sabree shot 55 percent from the floor, knocked down six 3-pointers and went 17-for-20 from the free throw line (.850).
