Nicole Russell of the University of Maine at Presque Isle earns Sunrise Conference Pitcher of the Week accolades after notching two wins and a save in seven games this week.

The senior from Newcastle, Maine struck out two batters and scattered six hits over seven innings with just two walks as the Owls beat Southern Virginia University 4-1. 

She also allowed six hits and one walk in five innings in a 16-4 win over Green Mountain College and then notched a save in 3 2/3 innings of work allowing just one hit while fanning three batters as the Owls completed the sweep of Green Mountain with a 12-9 win. 

Nicole finished the week with a 6.46 earned-run average.
