Corey Harding of the University of Maine at Presque Isle has been named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Week in baseball.
Corey receives the award for the first time this year after leading the Owls to a 4-2 week, including a four-game sweep of SUNY Canton to claim the second seed in the conference tournament.
The junior outfielder and pitcher from Plymouth, Maine batted .400 for the week with six RBIs, six runs, three doubles and a home run.
He went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs in an 8-4 win over the Roos and doubled twice in another 5-2 win.
In addition to his work behind the plate, Corey picked up a save in the first game of the weekend and then scattered nine hits over seven innings with three walks and three strikeouts in a 7-6 win in the final game on Sunday.
