Carolina Olivares of SUNY Canton has been named the Sunrise Conference co-Player of the Week in softball.
Carolina is honored for the second time this year after leading the Roos to a 4-2 week, including a two-day sweep of the University of Maine at Presque Isle to claim the regular season conference championship.
The junior from Adelanto, Calif. batted .455 with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBIs and 10 runs.
She went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer in a 13-2 win over the Owls.
She also stroked two doubles going 3-for-5 with three runs in another 12-1 win.
