(Lynn, Mass.)- Top-seeded Fisher College beat No. 4 Vermont Technical College 14-2 in the opening game of the Sunrise Conference basball tournament at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.

The Falcons will face No. 2 University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday in the winner's game as the Owls beat No. 3 SUNY Canton 7-6 in 11 innings.

Edwin Pena went 4-for-5 for Fisher with a double, a triple and four RBIs.  David Ferreira was 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and two RBIs.

Patrick Shanahan struck out 11 batters and scattered five hits over six innings.  Mike Callahan came on in relief and allowed one hit with one strikeouts in one inning.

Reed Brown was 3-for-4 with a run to lead the Green Knights who will face SUNY Canton in the first game on Saturday.  Phil Essepi was 1-for-2 with a run.

Duncan Tilford started on the mound for Vermont Tech and surrendered 14 hits and five walks with three strikeouts in five innings.  Andrew Whitney gave up two hits in one inning.
