(Lynn, Mass.)- No. 4 Vermont Tech blanked No. 2 University of Maine at Presque Isle 3-0 to move into the championship game of the Sunrise Conference baseball tournament.
The Green Knights will face top-seeded Fisher College in the title game.
Kyle Fifield tossed a complete game for Vermont Tech as he struck out seven batters and scattered five hits with three walks over nine innings.
Garrick Cronin went 2-for-4 with a double and a run for the Green Knights. Reed Brown also doubled and Jeff Savage added two hits and an RBI.
Tyler Delaney ripped a triple to lead the Owls. James Cirell added a single and Corey Harding also threw a complete game as he struck out five and surrendered eight hits and two walks in eight innings.
