(Weston, Mass.)- No. 3 University of Maine at Presque Isle knocked off No. 2 Fisher College 7-4 in the final game on Saturday of the Sunrise Conference softball tournament to advance to the championship game.
The Owls will face top-seeded SUNY Canton in the championship game on Sunday.
Danielle Humphrey went 3-for-4 with three singles to lead Presque Isle. Brittany Humphrey was 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs and Nicole Russell scattered 10 hits over seven innings with one strikeout and one walk. She also received some tremendous defensive help behind her.
Amanda Davis had two doubles and an RBI for Fisher. Jamie Hallam also doubled and Mika Wilson surrendered 14 hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.
