(Vasselboro, Maine)-The University of Maine at Presque Isle won the 2008 Sunrise Conference golf championship at Natanis Golf Course in Vasselboro, Maine.
The championship was held on the par-72 Tomahawk Course that measures 6,647 yards.
The Owls took the overall team championship with 375 points followed by the University of Maine at Fort Kent (395) and Vermont Technical College (395).
Presque Isle's Brett Hooper was the medalist winner as the freshman shot an even par-72 to earn all-Sunrise Conference and Rookie of the Year honors.
Joining Hooper on the all-conference team was Andy Martin (90) and Pat Deane (94) of the University of Maine at Fort Kent and Kyle Mohan (92), Eric Warren (95) and Chris Lacroix (95) of Vermont Technical College.
