(Portland, Maine)- The 2008 men's soccer all-Sunrise Conference team and individual award winners were announced at a brunch at Governor's Restaurant in Portland, Maine on Nov. 8 prior to the conference tournament.

Three University of Maine at Fort Kent players too home individual honors.  Sophomore forward Andre Anderson was named Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.  Anderson scored 24 goals with a conference-leading 19 assists for 67 points.  Sophomore defender Damion Stone was named Defensive Player of the Year.  Stone had four goals and three assists for 11 points this year.  Freshman forward Keith Williams II was named Rookie of the Year after leading the conference in scoring with 28 goals and 14 assists for 70 points.

Tony Turini of the University of Maine at Machias was named Coach of the Year.  Turini won the award for the Clippers womens team last year.

Vermont Technical College was given the Team Sportsmanship Award.

The all-conference team consists of four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and two goalies.

Joining Anderson and Williams II at forward are freshman Greg Dawson of the University of Maine at Machias (12 goals, 7 assists, 31 points) and sophomore Repton Abrahams of SUNY Canton (6 goals, 7 assists, 19 points).

The all-conference midfielders are junior Emlyn Jacoby of the University of Maine at Fort Kent (8 goals, 14 assists, 30 points), sophomore Bismark Ansah of SUNY Canton (12 goals, 24 points), junior Pat Corliss of the University of Maine at Machias (10 goals, 3 assists, 23 points) and junior Dwayne Smith of the University of Maine at Fort Kent (8 goals, 9 assists, 25 points).

Joining Stone at defense is teammate Barrington Blake (3 assists) and sophomore Josh Avery (1 goal, 4 assists, 6 points) and freshman Josh Mowery (2 goals, 4 assists, 8 points) from SUNY Canton.

The all-conference goalies are sophomore Giovanni Sinclair of Fort Kent and sophomore Adam Mauro of the University of Maine at Machias.  Both players made the all-conference team last year, Sinclair as a defender and Mauro as a goalie.  Sinclair posted a conference-leading 0.21 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage with 12 shutouts.  Mauro had a 2.13 goals-against average and a .775 save percentage with four shutouts.

Anderson, Abrahams, Jacoby and Smith also made the all-conference team a year ago.
